Need some ideas (6)

I need some green gift giving ideas that would be under $15 for a family gift exchange at Christmas. I was thinking a reusable bag and fill it with green, eco-friendly things totaling $15 or under.

That is a great idea. Plants are great too, as they can be enjoyed for years, if someone has a green thumb! Also consider a coupon or something redeemable for a talent or skill of yours, or just a kindhearted gesture.

For example, something freshly baked with the recipe attached- a gift of your time to babysit- a gift of your time to teach the person something you have skill at (baking, knitting, gardening, crafting, etc). These gifts don't cost anything, strengthen bonds, and promote less materialism. I don't know of your particular interests, but everyone has something they can share I believe!

etsy.com has lots of fun homemade items that you can buy or be inspired by.  I know you are great in the kitchen so I bet anyone would be happy to get some home baked treats from you.  I like Jen's idea of attaching the recipe too.  Or those cookie jars with all the ingredients are neat.

For your idea of filling a bag with $15 of goodies- I'd go to Olivers, or Community Market and grab some organic "gourmet" food items.  Maybe around some type of theme like snacks, a complete dinner, or kid friendly foods.  It's so easy now to find organic options.  You might introduce people to new brands!  Trader Joe's has a good selection of organic stuff too.  You could throw in a couple accessories too.  Like yesterday at Olivers while I was in the produce section I found a veggi scrubber that was kind of unique, so I grabbed it for a stocking stuffer.

We are doing the " clean green" gifts for our family. We are filling a bucket with a bottle of vinegar, reusable cleaning rags, baking soda, some lemons, and other supplies for homemade cleaners along with recipes and directions.
